Tuesday August 24 is the Dia de San Bartolome, patron saint of our village, and therefore a local holiday. Townhall, banks and Guadalinfo will be closed - most shops will open in the morning.

Last Friday August 13, the Football 7 and the local adult teams celebrated their respective finals, accompanied by the Municipal authorities and a numerous public.

The adults final was won by Manami (blue/orange) 2 Vs. Talleres Diego (green/white) 0

Runners-up were Hombres de Paco (yellow/blue) and Special K (green/white)

The kids final ended in a 4-4 draw between Los Nissu and Narbona Solis and a penalty shoot-out gave the win to Los Nissu

Saturday, August 21 :

3rd Ballroom Dancing exhibition at 10.00 pm in the Caseta Municipal at the Feria ground - See earlier announcement - Entrance fee : 2 Euros.

Monday, August 23 :

12.00 noon - Swimming championships at the Municipal Pool (all age groups)

8.00 pm - Giant´s Parade, accompanied by the SdY Music Band, starting from c/Francisco Granados and finishing at the Feria Ground, where firecrackers will announce the start of the Feria.

10.00 pm - Illumination of the Feria lights, meaning the official opening of our Feria by the Municipal authorities.

11.30 pm - in the Caseta Municipal, start of the dancing to the sound of the band ¨La Banda Beethoven¨

12.30 am - Inaugural Speech by Francisco Arias Solis, followed by the presentation of the candidates for Miss Feria

2.30 am - Crowning of Miss Feria and her runners-up.

Tuesday, August 24 - DIA DE BARTOLOME

10.00 am - at the village square - Launching of firecrackers to announce the day of our Patron Saint

12.00 noon - Holy Mass in honour of San Bartolome

2.30 pm - Meat stew and La Guita Sherry will be offered at the Caseta Municipal - Miss Feria and the runners-up will offer carnations to those who are dressed in traditional outfits.

8.30 pm - SdY Music Band will parade through the streets of the village and at 9.00 pm will join the procession of SAN BARTOLOME, starting from the village church.

11.30 pm - Caseta Municipal - Dancing to the sound of the Coconut Band

1.30 am - Performance by La Decada Prodigiosa, 70´s, 80´s and 90´s music

Wednesday, August 25 :

2.00 pm - Caseta Municipal - Children´s festival

11.00 pm - Performance by the SdY dancing group Ajoli

12.00 midnight - Dancing to the bands ¨Almudena¨ and ¨Lago Rojo¨

Thursday, August 26

12.00 noon in c/La Cruz - Slow bike race and Ribbon bike race for the kids

2.00 pm in the Caseta Municipal - Paella for everyone to enjoy !

6.00 pm in the Youngster´s area - Foam Party

11.30 in the Caseta Municipal - Dance with the Almudena & Lago Rojo bands

12.00 midnight - Fireworks to mark the official end of the Feria

1.30 am in the Caseta Municipal - performance by Pepito el Caja - local comedian

Friday, August 27 at 9.00 pm at the Caseta Municipal - annual Pensioner´s dinner and dance

Monday August 16, 2010 is a public holiday (Townhall, Public Services, Banks, etc...) in lieu of Sunday August 15 - Assumption Day.

On Saturday, August 21, 2010 at 10.00 pm in the Caseta Municipal at the Feria Ground, Ballroom dance meeting with participants from Montejaque, El Burgo, Los Corrales, El Saucejo, Ronda, Ardales and Almargen.
